Audits
M.D. Hall & Company, Inc. provides audits of hedge funds, funds of funds, broker/dealers and management companies in accordance with GAAP in the United States of America. We provide audits of funds trading in commodities and futures, including those registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. When requested, M.D. Hall & Company also audits partner capital statements for individual partners in the fund in accordance with GAAP in the United States of America.
Attestations
Reviews and compilations reports: Sometimes funds do not require a full financial statement audit. Information obtained from review and compilation reports offers a good financial overview without the extensive and costly procedures involved in performing a complete audit. Be advised, review and compilation reports provide less assurance than an audit.
Agreed-upon procedures reports: M.D. Hall & Company provides attestation services in accordance with AICPA Professional Standards where a report of findings is issued based on specific procedures performed on a subject matter. Examples of agreed-upon procedures reports performed by M.D.Hall & Company include surprise audits under the custody rule and valuation procedures reports on investments.
Performance Statistics reports: M.D. Hall & Company provides attestation services in accordance with AICPA Professional Standards to issue reports on fund performance for a specific period.
Advisory services
The new auditing standards related to risk assessment and reporting place significant responsibility on the auditors of nonpublic companies to communicate internal control deficiencies identified in an audit to management and those charged with governance. M.D. Hall & Company offers guidance to fund managers in setting up effective controls for management of daily operations. We also offer consulting services on fund specific issues and new auditing and accounting pronouncements.
